Riften and Azura’s Shrine pt. 1
The world of Skyrim offers little help to those interested in punching a snow troll to death, but the unarmed finishing moves are far too comically satisfying to miss. Who hasn’t wanted to lift an undead king over their head and body slam his ass back into a stone tomb, simultaneously dissolving a centuries long curse? My journey as a level 1 Khajit brawler begins in Riften.
Riften’s Ratway has THE essential item to a hand to hand fighter so there’s really no question about where to go first then, is there?
I’m immediately greeted by 2 much stronger bandits who pummel me mercilessly but after downing all the potions and tossing up an oakflesh spell I press on. My primary target is not far ahead and he falls like a chump, the Gloves of the Pugilist are mine! Disenchanting them allows me to apply their unarmed damage bonus to other better pieces of armor.
A single lowlife stands between me and the entrance to the Thieve’s Guild base so I decide I may as well stop in and join them. She offers little resistance to this kung fu tripping shit.
Just about the only other artifact an unarmed duelist could want is Azura’s Black Star. This reusable soul gem allows you to easily soultrap bandits and other anthropomorphic assholes for unlimited use in enchanting and weapon charging. I sell some bees and flowers to an old lady and am off to Winterhold and Azura’s Shrine.
